Dan Horst -Town Council
Dan has been a resident of Chatham for 22 years. He served as the town assessor for 15 years. Married to his wife Ava for 35 years they have ten children. Two are in law enforcement and two others are in the military. Dan is a retired teacher of 31 years from Berkshire Farm and is an avid pursuer of whitetail deer and turkey. Dan also enjoys amateur photography and has a relationship with God through Bible reading, prayer and church involvement. He has a strong desire to maintain the essential character of Chatham.

Jeff Antalek -Highway Superintendent
A lifelong resident of Columbia County, Jeff is a graduate of Ichabod Crane High School and currently resides in Chatham Center with his wife Jeannette and three children Jack, Jace and Jenna. Jeff joined the Chatham Highway Department in 2016 and had the honor of serving as Deputy Highway Superintendent under Joe Rickert from April 2019 until his retirement in September 2020. At that time, Jeff was unanimously appointed to the position of Highway Superintendent by the Chatham Town Board. Jeff brings to the position over 20 years of experience in the field of heavy equipment operation and road construction and maintenance. His skills include budget development, extensive knowledge of road construction and maintenance, as well as equipment procurement, operation, maintenance and repair. Additionally, Jeff participates in on-going training with the Cornell Local Roads Program. During these challenging and uncertain times, Jeff has worked closely with our town board and our exceptional highway department crew to ensure a smooth transition and continue providing constituents with the highest quality services possible. He looks forward to the opportunity to serve the residents of the town for the next four years. Jeff is committed to maintaining the highest standard of safety, integrity, professionalism and open communication. |
